Our standard sieves have a mesh in AISI 316 stainless steel (or Nylon for Nylon sieves) and the strapping (body) in AISI 304. To be compatible with the food contact requirement, you may need the body. Or also in AISI 316 stainless steel. This requirement is specific to each profession, it is a choice that you may have to make. An advantage of choosing the all AISI 316 option is that it protects you from any change in the regulations of your trade or any other requirement that may arise. The AISI 316 choice brings you security in the face of an increasingly demanding regulatory environment. This option (to be specified on the order) means that we use AISI 316 stainless steel strapping during the manufacture of the sieve (instead of AISI 304).
